Talkind about development, you must make some sort of comparisons. But here I am not interested with what development is. I just want to relate the development with the Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
It is really obvious that when you are talking about development, you must also consider the ICT due to the fact that everything done in any field the computers, phones, internets must be applied in a very high rate.
However you can just take these simple theree examples;
- ICT as a tool in bussiness. If you go to the bank now, you can see and tell me. Everything done there is ful computerized, you can see some different computers which perform different tasks. Some are used for counting money, some for putting the records of costomers, some for communication purposes to other computers in different banks.
- ICT in education has brought very big changes in education systems especially ni Sub-Sahara countries which was lagging behind. Nowdays in Africa we have many Professors, Doctors and also Phd holders. It doesn't mean that before people were having less qualifications, this is due to simplifications brought by computers and Internet.
- ICT in Agriculture, many people have improved the production in their fields due to the improvement of working tools. Before most of the farmers were using hand hoes but nowdays people are using tractors, they also using modern fertilizers etc.
So that is how ICT technology made us AFRICANS to start leavind the dackness.
